The most effective counselling depends on a strong relationship between the client and the counsellor. There are many reasons why you might seek support. You might not have trusted partners or family members to talk things through. Or you don’t want to be a burden on the relationship. Sometimes, the emotional dilemma can just feel like too much for anyone to help.

But, the more sensitive layers beneath may only get shared with a trusted person. As you get nearer to the core, there might be secrets that are too risky to share or simply parts of you that you never want to share. Sometimes, it’s these layers that can cause you emotional pain with certain behaviours, beliefs or thought processes that can trip you up in life.
